This week, for the first time, somebody reviewed one of our plugins without being asked.
The somebody runs a YouTube channel called Amner Hunter Makes Music, and the plugin is The NanoFlux. He streamed a session with it, which means the whole thing happened live, with an audience, and with no chance for me to read it over beforehand. He tried it on vocals, then bass, then guitars, and finished by checking what it does to the CPU. The link to the plugin's page is in the video's description, so anyone who watches it can go and get it. He's on Facebook as well.
I should say how unusual this is for us. Nobody sent them a copy. Nobody sent a press kit or an email or a gentle nudge. Every other mention Six Walls has had so far came from a site we wrote to first, and I'm grateful to every one of them. This one simply turned up. Someone heard about a free modulation plugin modeled on an Alesis NanoVerb, decided it was worth ten minutes of their own time, and said so in public.
I'm leaving out what they thought of it. It's their video, and you should hear it from them. It runs about ten minutes, and that's a fair price for finding out whether The NanoFlux holds up when somebody who isn't me is driving.
Thank you for the ten minutes. I hope it behaved.
