On the stove this week: the NanoFlux
All four of the NanoFlux's programs are now built from the real NanoVerb (unofficial)'s measurements. Here's what we're tackling next:
- A fifth program: Delay. We've measured the hardware's echoes, how far apart they land and how quickly they fade. This week we finish the program: what the echoes do when you turn the knob mid-note, how the two sides behave in stereo, and where Delay sits on the program dial.
- Rotary, spinning up. One more session with the hardware to catch exactly how fast the spinning speaker gets up to speed when you kick it to fast.
- What else makes the cut. The little box has more up its sleeve than modulation. We're deciding which of its other tricks belong in the NanoFlux.
It isn't out yet, but every week it sounds less like a guess and more like the box sitting on our desk.
What's next
The next Six Walls project has been decided. It's another piece of that '90s home studio puzzle. Another pawn shop classic. And it's going to bbe back in black and automatic!
Here at Six Walls, we've heard that the answer to life, the mix, and summing lies in maximizing your track's harmonic potential. We'll tell you more once the NanoFlux is out the door.
Thanks for listening.
